What the Caveat website stores in your browser, and how to choose analytics.

Caveat uses local storage and session storage for the site to work. Google Analytics loads only if you accept it.
Essential storage
- A browser id in local storage, so this browser can be linked to your account after you sign in.
- Your sign-in session, kept in local storage.
- A referral code in local storage when you arrive through a referral link.
- A StackSocial serial in session storage while you sign in to redeem it. It is removed after a successful redemption.
Rejecting analytics does not remove this storage, and it does not block sign-in, reviews, redemption or referrals.
Analytics
Your choice is stored in local storage as caveatAnalyticsChoice. Google Analytics loads only after you accept. If you reject, it is not added. You can change that choice here. The extension does not load Google Analytics.
