Terms of Service
The rules for using Caveat AI.
Last updated: 27 September 2026
These terms cover use of Caveat AI. Contact: support@askcaveat.com.
Your account
You are responsible for the email you use to sign in and for activity on your account. Do not share a paid individual account so that other people use your allowance.
Plans
- Free: 5 reviews a month
- Standard: 100 reviews a month
- Pro: 300 reviews a month
- Team: 400 reviews a month for each person
The price is the one shown at checkout. Unused reviews do not roll into the next month. The server decides whether a review can run.
Top-ups
Standard, Pro, Caveat Standard Lifetime and Caveat Pro Lifetime can buy 100 extra reviews for £5. Free cannot. Team is not sold this top-up. A top-up does not change your plan. Credits stay until they are used. Top-ups do not earn referral commission.
Billing and cancellation
Subscriptions and top-ups are charged by Stripe. We do not store your card number. You can cancel a subscription from the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewal. Access for a period already paid follows the subscription status Stripe reports.
StackSocial lifetime licences
- Caveat Standard Lifetime: 20 reviews a month, a 10,000 character limit, and the Standard feature set.
- Caveat Pro Lifetime: 40 reviews a month, a 15,000 character limit, and the Pro feature set.
“Lifetime” means access for as long as that Caveat service is offered on these terms. It is not a promise that Caveat will operate forever.
A serial is single-use and is tied to the account that redeems it. You cannot stack codes or change plan by redeeming a second one. A lifetime entitlement is not a Stripe subscription. If you already have a Stripe subscription, redeeming a serial does not cancel it and does not refund it. While that subscription is active, the subscription allowance applies. The lifetime entitlement applies after the subscription ends. You manage the subscription separately.
Referrals
The Referral programme terms cover the 10% rate, the 12-month period, PayPal payouts and the £10 minimum. Submitting a business introduction does not by itself earn commission.
Acceptable use
Do not bypass usage limits, share or resell access, redeem a serial you are not entitled to use, refer yourself, interfere with the service, or use Caveat to break the law. We may refuse a request that breaks these terms.
Reviews
A Caveat review is a critical reading of the answer you submitted. It can be incomplete or wrong. It is not legal, medical or financial advice, and it is not a guarantee that an answer is safe to rely on. You decide what to do with an AI answer and with a review.
Availability
We aim to keep Caveat available. We do not promise uninterrupted access. Supported sites, models and features can change.
Intellectual property
We own Caveat, the extension and the site content we create. You keep your rights in text you submit. Your right to use the service is personal. Do not copy the extension or the site for a competing service.
Suspension
We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, for security, or if the law requires it. You can stop using Caveat at any time. Limits on reviews, intellectual property and liability continue after the account ends.
Liability and your rights
We provide Caveat with reasonable care. We are not liable for decisions you make from an AI answer or a Caveat review, or for third-party AI services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability the law does not allow us to exclude. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights stay in place, including rights about digital services. Where a cooling-off right still applies, contact us.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you can also bring a claim where you live in the United Kingdom.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Continued use after a change takes effect means the updated terms apply, except where the law says otherwise.
