Referral programme terms
How Caveat referral commission is earned and paid.

Commission
You can earn 10% of the qualifying paid subscription revenue from a customer you refer, for their first 12 months as a paying Caveat customer. The period starts at their first successful paid subscription payment. It does not restart if they change plan, cancel or come back. Commission is due only on qualifying subscription revenue Caveat has received and retained. It is not accrued in advance.
The first valid attribution wins. There is no 30-day attribution window. A later referral does not replace it.
What does not earn commission
- Free users, and trials that never become a paid subscription.
- A business introduction that has not converted into a paying customer.
- Self-referrals.
- Extra-review top-ups.
- A StackSocial lifetime purchase.
- A gift subscription the purchaser pays for directly. That is not a referral.
- Payments after the 12-month period.
Someone with a StackSocial lifetime plan may still refer other people. Commission can be earned on those people’s qualifying subscription payments. Their own StackSocial purchase does not.
Payouts
Eligible commission is paid monthly in arrears, by PayPal only, once the balance reaches £10. A smaller balance is carried forward. It is not cancelled because it is under £10. You need to give us a valid PayPal email. We do not ask for a PayPal password. We may hold a payout while details are missing or a referral is being checked.
We may withhold or cancel commission for fraud, abuse, self-referrals or other ineligible referrals.
Tax
Tax on what you receive is your responsibility. This programme does not make you an employee, partner or agent of Caveat.
Refunds, chargebacks and amounts Caveat does not retain can reduce or void the related commission. A full refund or a lost chargeback voids it. A partial refund reduces it in proportion. We may change the programme for future referrals. Commission already earned on a payment Caveat has received is not cancelled merely because the programme later changes, except for refunds, reversals and abuse.
